The machine

STARFALL SALVAGE is an original pinball machine in the style of a modern LCD game, for one to four players, built by Holmes Computer Consultants. A game is three balls, and its author estimates a ball lasts about 80 seconds. Its author rates it 3 out of 5 for difficulty, and it is rated for everyone.

STARFALL SALVAGE is part of Pro, which unlocks the full roster on every device you sign in on.

What Pro costs and what it adds

On the playfield

The playfield has three flippers, four pop bumpers, two slingshots, nine standup targets, five drop targets in one bank, one spinner, seven kickers, one magnet, 18 rollovers and one captive ball. Everything on it — the art, the lettering and every sound — is generated in code when the machine loads, so there is nothing to download.

The instruction card

The card on STARFALL SALVAGE's cabinet sums up the rules in three lines:

  • Hit Contract Board. Cargo Bay accepts the selected job. Launch Rail refuels.
  • Complete jobs to earn ranks. Three jobs on one ball qualify Leviathan Approach.
  • Open Hull, lock two balls, then Cargo Bay for multiball. Admiral + Approach light Leviathan.

STARFALL SALVAGE plays in a browser on a computer or a phone, and in a Meta Quest 3 headset. Every game runs the same simulation, stepped a thousand times a second, on every device.
