The machine

DUNE CIRCUIT is an original pinball machine in the style of a 1990s dot-matrix game, for one to four players, built by Holmes Computer Consultants. A game is three balls, and its author estimates a ball lasts about 75 seconds. Its author rates it 3 out of 5 for difficulty, and it is rated for everyone.

DUNE CIRCUIT is part of Pro, which unlocks the full roster on every device you sign in on.

What Pro costs and what it adds

On the playfield

The playfield has three flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, three drop targets in one bank, one spinner, two kickers and eight rollovers. Everything on it — the art, the lettering and every sound — is generated in code when the machine loads, so there is nothing to download.

The instruction card

The card on DUNE CIRCUIT's cabinet sums up the rules in three lines:

  • Dune Ramp then Coast Loop within 8 seconds earns a checkpoint.
  • Three checkpoints light Pit Stop for Race Multiball.
  • Multiball: Dune Ramp first. Alternate Ridge and Dune for jackpots.

The mode

DUNE CIRCUIT has one mode.

  • RACE MULTIBALL.

Multiball and extra balls

Multiball puts up to three balls in play at once.

Playing it

DUNE CIRCUIT plays in a browser on a computer or a phone, and in a Meta Quest 3 headset. Every game runs the same simulation, stepped a thousand times a second, on every device.
